SAM GRAY TO JOIN PETER ANDRE ON UK TOUR – 16th November 2012 – 19th January 2013

The talented singer/songwriter joins pop giant Peter Andre on his extensive UK tour. With over thirty dates nationwide and special guest billing, Sam Gray is set to take the country by storm. His style of skilfully written, energetic and infectious pop music is sure to capture the hearts of audiences from Swindon to Sheffield, including a show at the London 02 Arena, and with a new album set to be released in January 2013, the next few months will be his most exciting yet.

Born and raised in Hull, Sam grew up playing in bands on Humberside before slowly gravitating across the M62 to Manchester, which remains his base to this day. Whilst in Manchester he was discovered by legendary drummer Steve White (Paul Weller) who became his manager, producer and general overseer. White, along with his partner Sally Lindsay oversaw Sam’s early demos until they secured Sam a publishing deal with Notting Hill Music and a recording contract with the Transmission Recordings label.

His most recent single ‘This Girl’ cemented his reputation as one of the UK’s premium up and coming live acts with over a quarter of a million Youtube views. His album Brighter Day wound its way into the Top 10 singer/songwriter albums on iTunes and his fan base continues to grow each day thanks to radio support from more than 40 stations, including BBC Radio 2. He was also the subject of a Channel 4 TV special, as well as writing tunes for The Voice and Hollyoaks star Abi Phillips. He then completed a mammoth tour of over 70 Caffe Nero outlets nationwide. Sam boasts an impressive roster of high-profile support slots including Charlie Simpson, The Overtones and Westlife, as well as establishing himself on the festival circuit with slots at Secret Garden Party and Cornbury Festival this year.
